Mary Jo has appeared in Holes, Law & Order, Frasier, Guiding Light, Oh Baby!, When Sunday Comes, Cowabunga Dad, & You Call This Living? Her theatre performances include A Christmas Carol, The Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Death of a Salesman, The Jealous Husband, and many others. She has appeared in many musicals including Sweeney Todd, Little House on the Prairie, Snapshots, Man of la Mancha, Funny Girl, Sweet Charity, Lullaby of Broadway, J. C. Superstar, Evita, and Cabaret. Mary Jo is a Mezzo Soprano and gifted with the ability to render a number of accents, including Cockney, Irish, Italian, New York & Southern.

Laurie Veldheer

Laurie Veldheer, originally from Grand Rapids, MI, is thrilled to be making her Fringe Festival debut with Terms of Dismemberment! Some previous credits include: National Tour of Hairspray the Musical (Brenda; u/s Tracy and Penny); She Loves Me (Amalia Balash) at Penn State University, and Les Miserables, Forum, Big River, and All Shook Up at Music Theatre of Wichita. Ashley Campana was most recently part of the first national touring company of "Disney's High School Musical."  Other credits include "The Awesome 80s Prom," "Baby," and "Urinetown," "Don't Hug Me." Ashley earned her BFA in music theatre from Elon University.

Thomas Poarch (DWIGHT & IKE)*

Thomas Poarch

Thomas is an award-winning actor and former Peace Corps English teacher (Africa), cowboy line dancer/DJ, magazine research editor, and Notary Public. TV credits include: One Life To Live; As The World Turns; All My Children; Titans of Gefa, (co-starring with Hal Ozsan & Finola Hughes); Handsome Town and numerous commercials. Other theater credits include: The Best Little Whorehouse in TX (natl. tour); Urban Cowboy (Broadway reading); Victor/Victoria (1st NYC revival) and, Take This Show and Shove It!, in which he starred and co-wrote with Broadway writer/director Phil Oesterman. Film credits include: several award-winning shorts; the lead role in Shave, produced by Oscar-winning Killer Films; and the indie feature, The Ones You Love. He is also an improv actor and graduate of New York's Upright Citizens Brigade, National Comedy Theater and Tragic Improv.

Kevin Collins

Kevin received a B.F.A. in Drama from the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. New York Theater performances include Made in Heaven (Max), Angels (Lucifer), Purple Hearts (Whitman), Paradise Lost (Beelzebub), Brunch (Steve), City of Angels, One Way Ticket to Hell, The Gathering Room, Camelot (Arthur), and The Threepenny Opera. He has film appearances in Taking Woodstock, Inbetween, The Sickness, Aunt Rose, Inner Rage, & Zombies Anonymous. In addition, he has appeared on several TV shows including Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order, Exit 19 (Pilot), What Would You Do, Guiding Light, Pros & Cons (Pilot) and As the World Turns.

Livia Hill

Livia Hill has enjoyed the TERMS OF DISMEMBERENT journey with this amazing cast and crew. Her theatrical career started as ballerina, traveling, training and performing nationally and internationally. This is her second year with Planet Connections. Other NYC credits include FELA, Dennis Leary's BASH FOR NEW YORK'S BRAVEST, PLAY IT COOL, and the 2010 World Series Yankee Parade. Originally from New Orleans with a MA in Arts Administration, Livia has worn 2, even 3 hats at once.

GUIDING THE SHOW BEHIND THE SCENES


Hinton Battle and castHinton Battle (Director and Choreographer) has won three Tony Awards, NAACP Award, Fred Astaire Award, Ira Aldridge Award and Choreographer Media Award. Hinton served as Associate Choreographer to the 65th and 66th Annual Academy Awards. Hinton choreography can be seen in the movie musical Idlewild, and soon to be released The Bubby Bolden Story, and Louis. As director/choreographer Off-Broadway Hinton work includes Evil Dead: The Musical, Respect, The Marvelous Wonderers, plus authored Love Lies which tour fall 2010, and slated to direct for Broadway Anne & Emmett. As an actors Mr. Battle has appeared in numerous Films and TV shows: the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once more, with Feeling, These Old Broads, Foreign Student, The Golden Globe Awards, Dance in America, Dancing with the Stars, Touched By An Angel, and the Academy Awards to name a few. Hinton’s Broadway credits include The Wiz, Dancin', Dreamgirls, Sophisticated Ladies, Chicago (Billy Flynn), Ragtime (Coalhouse Walker Jr.), and The Tap Dance Kid.


Lettie Battle (Assistant to Director/Choreographer)
is excited to once again work with Hinton Battle and Dorothy Marcic. She appeared in the original cast of the Broadway show and movie, The Wiz, Don't Bother Me I Can't Cope, Raisin, Purlie, The Color Purple, The Women of Brewster Place — just to name a few. She is currently working with the Arts in Education and Community Programs of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

Dorothy Marcic and Hinton Battle

Dr. Dorothy Marcic (Book and lyrics) started her career in the arts as a production assistant on the TV program, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. She is the author of 12 published books, including RESPECT: Women and Popular Music, which traces Top 40-songs with women's development in the 20th century. That book serves as the basis for her four-woman musical theater production RESPECT: The Musical Journey of Women (www.respectthemusical.com), which has played in 17 cities (including Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Tampa, and Sydney—currently Philadelphia) with 2200 performances and 500,000 audience members. In its early stages, Dorothy traveled the U.S. and the world doing the one-woman show version, which was been well-received in Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Holland, England and South Africa. She has appeared on C-SPAN, CMT, and Bravo Network. Dr. Marcic is a former professor at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management. She was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Economics-Prague, teaching MBA students and practicing managers. She served as advisor to the US Ambassador of the Czech Republic and was a delegate to both the United Nations Economic and Social Develop Summit in Copenhagen and the UN Commission on the Status of Women. Her degrees include a bachelors in Radio- TV-Film, a Masters in educational Media, another Masters in Public Health and a Doctorate in Organizational Behavior. Several years ago, Dorothy left her full-time academic position at Vanderbilt University to devote herself to playwriting. She is a member of The Dramatists' Guild.

Mehr MansuriMehr Mansuri is the Artistic Director of the award winning Children's Theatre Company for whom she has created & directed over 15 musical productions. Her producing credits as Producing Assistant to Scott Elliot at the New Group (Hazelwood Jr. High, Goose Pimples). She has been collaborating with Dorothy Marcic since 2004 when she directed the original cast of Respect: A Musical History of Women. Mehr has coached young performers for film & theater roles including: Precious, Fences with Denzel Washington and Lion King. Onstage, Mehr’s acting roles have included the British Hits, Red Devils and Road (Awarded Backstage / Dramalogue, LA Critic’s Choice) as well as for the Drama Desk winning Ma-Yi Theater in the Caucasian Chalk Circle and Portrait of an Artist both at the Vineyard Theater. Represented by Innovative Talent, Mehr performs voice-overs for commercials and for Penguin Audio-books.

Kia RogersKia Rogers is the Lighting Director for Terms of Dismemberment. She holds an M.F.A. in Lighting Design from Northern Illinois University and received her B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Kia is the resident lighting designer for Manhattan Theatre Source. This is Kia’s second collaboration with Dr. Dorothy Marcic. Off Broadway: Made In Heaven at The SoHo Playhouse. Favorite Off-Indie credits: Universal Robots, Jacob’s House, All The Rage. She designs for events and concerts at The Asia Society. Regionally Kia works as a returning guest artist at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Kia’s next project: Passage of Light and Shadow, Theatre at St. Clement's. Loresa Lanceta - Hailing originally from Louisville, KY, Loresa has been involved in theatre, modeling, music, and dance since the age of five. She attended the Youth Performing Arts School in her native Louisville, and moved to New York City after having graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Anthropology. Since then, she has been working steadily in theatre, film, and television. Credits Include: Off-Broadway/NYC: IMELDA: A New Musical (Pan Asian Repertory Theatre), NAATCO's 'The House of Bernarda Alba' (Chay Yew), 'Rocky Horror' with Neil Patrick Harris, and 'The Awakening' at the Workshop Theatre Company. Favorite Regional productions include: Miss Saigon (Mimi,Yvonne/Kim us), My Fair Lady (Actors Theatre of Lousiville, Virginia Stage Company, and The Cleveland Play House), Aida (Nehebka) at Count Basie Regional Theatre, Joseph (Narrator), Evita, and Big River. A graduate at Long Island University's Post Theatre Company, Dov's notable performance include Green Girl (Jacob Chesnutt), Brush Up Your Shakespeare: A Cabaret (Ensemble), and Balm In Gilead (Franny). You may have also seen Dov in the U.S. Premiere of All For One (King Louis/Phillippe), Disney's High School Musical (Ryan Evans), Cats (Skimbleshanks), 42nd Street (Billy Lawlor), as well as various performances aboard Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival Cruiselines. He would like to thanks his family, friends, and teachers for all of their support, and his amazing cast and creative team!

Katherine is beyond thrilled to be a part of this project. She graduated with a B.F.A. in Acting from Long Island University's C.W.Post campus in May of this year. Her favorite experiences include Pheobe in As You Like It, The Judge and Louis in The Balcony, The Chorus in The Oresteia, and Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes. After graduating she hopes to relocate to New York City and persue her acting career. Thank you to Dorothy, Frank, and Mehr for this tremendous opportunity and to the cast for all their support. Thanks especially to Mom and Dad, who have supported this dream throughout the years and all the tears and have loved her more than she could have asked for.

Alice Camarota is a graduate in the BFA acting at Long Island University C.W. Post. Past credits include Roaring Girl, The HFS Effect, The Tempest, The Laramie Project, Alice in Wonderland, and Balm In Gilead at C.W. Post and The King and I, Pippin, Kiss Me Kate, Little Women, Jesus Christ Superstar, Camelot, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, and Harvey back in her home town in Central Florida.
